Parkwheel

2006

A school project that took “touch grass” literally. The “Parkwheel” (2006) by David Gallaugher, Kevin James, and Jacob Jebailey of the Dalhousie School of Architecture is a conceptual installation resembling a hamster wheel covered with grass. This cylindrical structure rotates as the person inside walks, allowing urban dwellers to experience the sensation of grass underfoot while moving through the city.
